SCJS Receives Grant
MARTIN SOSIN-STRATTON-PETIT FOUNDATION GIVES SCJS
ITS FIRST GRANT FUNDING ARTS PROGRAMS
Society Member Martin Sosin announces establishment of the Martin Sosin-Stratton-Petit SCJS Art Program, funding $2,000 annually to support arts presentations at the Society’s annual conferences.
This is one of several grants for the arts that Sosin’s foundation, based in Santa Monica, has made since its creation. Sosin serves as president. A retired attorney, he donated his services to SCJS, helping the society secure non-profit status.
“This will contribute much to widening the perspective of crypto Judaic studies, giving depth and meaning to the research presented at our conferences,” states Stan Hordes, Vice President/Programs. “We are most grateful to Marty for the generosity and support of his foundation.”
